I Got By With A Little Help From My Friends

So I did this thing with a little help from my friends. A group of us did a girls weekend which started with a hike through Kanarra Falls in Cedar City. It was about 4.5 miles with a lot of climbing up and off rocks, walking through (cold) water and hiking uphill. A hike alone would be challenging for me since I have no balance on my left side (years and years of nerve damage from a herniated disc.) It indeed was challenging AND that’s with using walking poles. I did fall in the water once and accidentally slid off a rock and someone caught me: something you would see in a movie! There are no pictures of this but there were women helping me throughout the whole thing, a lot of me holding on to them, them pulling me up, pushing me down, and changing gears in any given moment. I know this held them back and probably interfered with them enjoying the beauty of it all but they were troopers and I appreciate them for hanging in there with me. I really did enjoy it!! And I can cross that off my bucket list!

An added note since Facebook post:  I DID have a couple pictures of the gals helping me!
